Your boss is about launch a Citrix XenDesktop project and user pilot stage is about to begin. However, you get this new order just a few days ago. During this time, you have another two projects in progress. What can you do ?
"Quick Deploy" feature can save your life in this case. After many "Next" button of XenDesktop controller installation, you can enable user to access virtual desktop quickly.
Notes: In order to use Quick Deploy, all XenDesktop controllers components must be installed on same machine including the SQL server express 2008 R2 bundled. A supported hypervisor and a master image(virtual desktop agent installed) is ready.
After installation, when you launch Desktop Studio, select "Quick Deploy", you will get a wizard below:
Fill in "Site" name", click "Next"
Select your hypervisor e.g.VMware vSphere
Select the pool or cluster unit depend the hypervisor
Select Storage for virtual desktops
Select your master image (a snapshot )
Create how many virtual desktop and the computer account location in Active Directory
Who can use these virtual desktop ?
Click "Finish" to go.
