Upgrade ESXi 4.1 to ESXi 5.0 using VMware vCenter Update Manager 5.0

I have made  a set of 2 video in order to demonstrate how to upgrade ESXi 4.1 to ESXi 5.0 by using Update Manager.

The following items have to be ready:

1. vCenter 5.0 with Update Manager 5.0 is up and running
2. ESXi 5.0 iso file uploaded to Update Manager
3. ESXi 4.1 is added in vCenter 5.0

When you start to remediate ESXi 4.1 to begin update, you will see ESXi 4.1 will upgrade automatically.

By using VMware vCenter Update Manager 5.0 , you can upgrade many ESXi 4.1 to 5.0 automatically.  This method is a good option to ESXi mass upgrade.

After the upgrade, don't forget to assign vSphere 5.0 license before releasing upgraded ESXi 5 to production.

Optionally applying host profile to upgraded ESXi servers to ensure configuration compliance if you have Enterprise Plus license.
